William E. Kiessling, Jr. (1932-2020)

Attorney William (“Bill”) Kiessling has been practicing law for over 50 years, and was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1959. Bill is also licensed to practice in the Federal Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, and served as a Municipal Judge for the City of Lake Mills for over 40 years.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Atty. Kiessling practices in the area of Probate and Elder law with seasoned experience in estate planning, drafting of Living Trusts, Wills, and Financial and Health Care Powers of Attorney. He handles cases, not only in Lake Mills, but all of Jefferson County and parts of Dodge County.
Bill also advises clients on the purchase and sale of businesses, as well as the creation and management of corporations and LLCs. He also handles Real Estate Law matters, including large real estate exchanges and the sale of all types of real estate. He also offers preparation of income tax returns in all areas of his practice.
Prior to joining his father’s practice in 1966, William headed up the Advanced Underwriting Planning Unit for Northwestern Mutual Life, assisting attorneys in estate planning and tax planning. He was also responsible for the income tax preparation for beneficiaries receiving payments from NML.
Atty. William Kiessling has remained active within the community throughout his career, holding positions with many organizations. We unfortunately lost his participation in the firm due to his death in 2020.
